Kearl Oil Sands Project

Cypress Interconnect

Constructed foundations for transmission lines connecting a substation to the grid. Drilled caissons ranged from four-feet diameter to eight-feet diameter and reached 40 feet down. Mitigation measures had to be taken to preserve a hawk nest along the right of way. Busy roadways near the work site also proved challenging, but the project was completed successfully on time, on budget and without incident.

Client: SaskPower
Location: West of Burstall, Saskatchewan

North Central Project
