Dokie Wind Farm

Procure and construct the collector system for a new wind farm, consisting of 30 km of 35-kV overhead lines and 7 km of 230-kV grid connection (braced post). The project was logistically challenging, as most structures had to be placed in rock excavations. Valard completed the task on budget, on time and without incident.

SunE Sky Norfolk I and II Projects

Engineer, procure and construct two solar parks in Ontario. The project involved 15.5 MW combined solar plants producing 19 million kWh annually; 146,300 Sharp 121W and 128W thin film modules and 16 Satcon inverters. The scope of work included preparing the site (management of all project grading and trenching); design, supply and installation of the module support system; installation of the modules, inverters, wiring, power cables and the associated collection equipment; installation of all electrical systems for the entire project (module connections, inverter installation, power cables, wiring and grid interconnection); construction and procurement of electrical equipment; and design and optimization of project processes and installation.
