Rockwood Station

230 kV to 115 kV

The station is an integral part of Manitoba Hydro’s transmission system and links together their 230 kV and 115 kV transmission networks in a strategic location. Rockwood was the first EPC station project awarded by Manitoba Hydro. The project comprised of engineering, procurement, construction and commissioning (EPCC).

  • Rockwood Transmission Station consists of 230 kV and 115 kV switch yards including a single 285 MVA auto-transformer bank and automated control building
  • The entire station was constructed on rock socketed cast-in-place concrete caissons
