Recent kudos for our crews from SaskPower!

After recent storms in the Maple Creek, SK area, Valard crews lent a hand in the restoration efforts. We received this message from our friends at SaskPower:

“We’re grateful to the Valard crews for the great support provided during our recent storm recovery in the Maple Creek area!”

The local community also showed their gratitude – putting on a supper for all crews involved with the restoration.

East-West Tie Line is Complete

On April 11, the Province of Ontario announced the activation of the East-West Tie Project.

Jennifer Tidmarsh, Project Director for NextBridge said:

“Despite numerous external challenges during construction, including a global pandemic and historic forest fire activity in the region, the NextBridge joint venture partners have fulfilled a commitment to the people of Ontario and the East-West Tie to deliver electricity that will power growth in the Northwest.”

Valard is proud to have been part of this project that is so important to Northwestern Ontario’s remote and Indigenous communities.

Phase 1 of state-of-the-art 28MW Digital Asset Mining Data Center Complete

Valard supported full-service blockchain technology company, Bitfury Group, with their new asset mining data centre in Sarnia, Ontario. We are thankful to our entire team at Valard, Bitfury and our subcontractors for their partnership and dedication in completing Phase 1 of the project.

We look forward to building on our success as we work toward finalizing Phase 2.
