Jerry Sampson brings over 30 years of leadership in Canada’s utility sector, offering deep operational and strategic expertise to Valard Construction. Focused on expanding Valard’s core business in the Greater Toronto Area, he leads major distribution initiatives in the region.

His career includes extensive experience in transmission, distribution, and substation operations across Eastern Canada, where he secured high-impact projects with major clients such as Toronto Hydro. At Hydro One, Jerry held roles ranging from Area Construction Manager to Director of Business Support, managing programs exceeding $100M annually and leading teams of up to 120. He also spearheaded province-wide training programs for more than 700 apprentices.

Renowned for growing distribution business lines, Jerry excels in stakeholder engagement, including Indigenous relations. He thrives in both unionized and non-unionized environments and is passionate about Valard’s mission, leveraging his network and experience to drive strategic growth and deliver measurable results across the Toronto area.
