Valard Construction LP was one of the first to achieve ISO 45001:2018 certification in the power line industry! This standard means that Valard has demonstrated a sound occupational health and safety management system that has been certified by an independent auditor.
A COR is awarded to employers who develop health and safety programs that meet established standards. A COR certificate shows that the employer's health and safety management system has been evaluated by a certified auditor and meets provincial standards.
Valard is a proud supporter of the Canadian Registered Safety Professional (CRSP) designation. Many of our Health and Safety professionals have achieved this designation.

The use of drugs or alcohol can impair a person’s judgment and lead to serious consequences on a construction site. Impaired individuals will not be tolerated on Valard Construction sites.
Anyone suspected to be under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs will be immediately escorted out of the work area. That person will be dealt with as dictated by following Valard’s Substance Abuse Program. The program is monitored, maintained and rigorously enforced by the Executive VP of Health, Safety and Environment, the President and the Project Manager.
