Valard Construction Wins "Top Employer of Indigenous Apprentices" Award

We’re so proud of our Apprenticeship & Trades Group and the world class programs and services that they create and facilitate, which has led to this prestigious industry award.

EDMONTON, ALBERTA – April 18, 2018

On April 13th, 2018, at an Alberta Apprenticeship and Industry Training Board Gala in Edmonton, Valard’s Apprenticeship & Trades Group was presented with the “Top Employer of Indigenous Apprentices” Award!

Adam Budzinski, Valard’s President and CEO, speaks for all Valard staff when he says “We’re so proud of this group and the world class programs and services that they create and facilitate, which has led to this prestigious industry award. Our positive and fruitful relationships with Indigenous communities and individuals are integral to our success.”

As the Chair for the Board, j’Amey Bevan, said, “Valard Construction Ltd. has demonstrated a high degree of support for and participation in Alberta’s apprenticeship and industry training system, and provides an environment of training excellence that leads to success for its apprentices”.

When Maureen Budzinski, Manager for Valard’s A & T Group accepted the award (on Twitter – see Apr. 13th), she shared our almost 40 year history of always going above and beyond to encourage achievement and inclusion of Indigenous workers and their culture.
