Valard Congratulates Jeff Rogers

Jeff was recently appointed Vice President of Distribution

Dave Torgerson, COO & VP, Central Canada had this to say about Jeff:

Jeff has been a Valard employee for over 10 years and has over 30 years of experience in the electrical construction field. He entered the industry as a Lineman and progressively earned his stripes in a variety of roles, including district and project management positions. Jeff has a track record for building successful teams and for implementing productivity improvements. Most recently, his responsibilities have included the supervision of Valard’s Western Canadian Distribution work, to ensure that our existing utility-based customer’s contracts are met.

Boots on the Ground Perspective

Wataynikaneyap Project

Bradley Wesley, Lac Seul First Nation recently posted:

I really appreciate the Valard team, for giving me this opportunity to be a part of this historic project for our Region (Northwestern Ontario).

I know the significance of what this project means to the Partnership communities of Watay. They wanted the best company to put up this line that brings light, and Valard will deliver.

I am looking forward to helping close out this project in the capacity of Assembler…. perhaps even continuing on with other Valard projects in the future.

Thank you once again.

Walking the Line

East-West Tie Transmission Line

This week, Valard crews working on the East-West Tie Transmission Line Project spotted* the last structure for the constructability review. Sometimes the crew has to hike long distances (through snow and mud!) to get to the locations.

*spotting/spotted: physically walk around structure locations, as part of the pre-construction phase.
